YOUTH LEARNING LAW ENFORCEMENT
Our Post
OUR MISSION:
The mission of the Plumsted Police Explorer Program is to develop responsible, educated, and capable youth in our community. The post will provide traning and skills that can be utilized not only in a future career in law enforcement, but in many aspects of adult life. Through involvement in our program explorers will be made aware of the challenges and dangers of law enforcement today. Utilizing the acquired knowledge our explorers will productively serve the community with honor and integrity, which will reflect positively on the Plumsted Police Department and the Township of Plumsted.
EXPLORER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 14 years old and have graduated the 8th grade.
- Must be currently enroleld in a high school or have graduated.
- Must not be more than 20 years of age, or employed as a Auxilary, Special, or Full Time Police Officer.
- Must not have been found guilty of an indictable crime ( arrests of any nature especially drugs can disqualify at the advisor's descretion )
- Must conduct on and off duty behavior as to not tarnish the reputaiton of the post, or the Plumsted Police Department.
